Crazy Time – scam or fair game? Let's find out!

Possible manipulations in Crazy Time. Is the popular game Crazy Time a cheat?

Crazy Time… Ah, this is a sweet and painful word at the same time! How much money this game burned, how many nerves and hopes disappeared in these multi-colored sectors! You sit there, bet five times in a row on "Coin Flip" - nothing. He decided, well, to hell with him, he doesn't play. And immediately the "Coin Flip" that you just ignored lights up on the wheel. Classic, right?

Or vice versa: you just hit the Crazy Time bonus, catch a good multiplier, you already consider yourself a king, and then... 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 1. Excellent game, 10 out of 10, I would give more. And, of course, at such moments, a seditious thought creeps in: "Maybe they are twisting?.."

Well, let's skip rose-colored glasses and try to figure out whether Evolution really twists and turns the results of the game, as the boss's left heel wishes, or we are just typical whiners who are looking for someone to blame for their own bad luck. To begin with, let's remember how this very wheel of "luck" is generally arranged.

What's inside Crazy Time: the wheel of luck or the mechanism of bad luck?

In fact, Crazy Time is a coolly pumped version of the classic wheel of fortune. There are 54 sectors on the wheel, which are distributed as follows:

  • 21 sectors "1"
  • 13 sectors "2"
  • 7 sectors "5"
  • 4 sectors "10"
  • 4 sectors of Coin Flip (the same ill-fated one)
  • 2 sectors Pachinko
  • 2 sectors Cash Hunter
  • And only one sector of Crazy Time (oh, you're my dear, I wish I could catch you at least once in my life...)

There is also a miracle called Top Slot, which supposedly randomly gives out a multiplier from x2 to x50 per random sector before each round. The RTP (return to player percentage) that Evolution claims is 96.08%. But do not rush to rejoice, this number applies only to the most frequent sector "1". On the much-loved Crazy Time bonus, where you can win up to x20,000 of the bet, the RTP drops to 94.41%. Unpleasant, but true.

Does Crazy Time have magnets, brakes, and other tricks?

Ask this question in the Crazy Time chat and you will be ignored at best, and get banned at worst. Why such secrecy? Maybe because the wheel is not as simple as it seems?

There are many videos with suspicious episodes. The wheel usually makes 3-4 turns and stops. But sometimes miracles of physics happen: the wheel spins for more than a minute without stopping. The hosts make a poker face, talk about a weakened pointer and other nonsense, but to be honest, it sounds very far-fetched. And Evolution itself almost does not give comments, silently watching the discussion.

Here is one of such mysterious videos:

  • Mechanism failure and long wheel rotation:
The wheel spins for more than a minute, clearly disrupting the usual course of events. Why this happens is a mystery that Evolution is in no hurry to reveal.

Another case:

  • Another suspiciously long spin:
The spin drags on again, the players get nervous, the host pretends that everything is fine, although panic can be read on his face.

Fans and representatives of Evolution put forward a version that in such situations there is a weakening of the pointer mechanism, which, under certain conditions, allows the wheel to rotate almost indefinitely. However, the company itself rarely talks about the internal problems of its gaming products, so the official position has not been voiced.

In another episode, a similar picture is observed of an extremely long rotation of the wheel. This time, the deviation is less noticeable, and the gameplay continues for several rounds until a specialist arrives to maintain the device. It seems that the functioning of the wheel in the Crazy Time game has practically no clear regulatory norms, and the provider independently determines the criteria under which the round can be considered valid or subject to cancellation.

  • Another suspiciously long spin:

And now the opposite situation - the wheel brakes sharply right before the Pachinko bonus. Wow, what luck! But no, this time the host declares that the game does not count. Interesting, right?

  • Inexplicable stop of the wheel before the bonus:
The wheel slows down abruptly and stops at Pachinko, but this round is decided to be replayed. Why, if in other cases rounds with obvious anomalies were easily counted?

Players have long been joking (or are they not joking?) that the wheel is being twisted. Maybe this is not just talk? Just look at the actions of the presenters, who diligently twist the wheel to the desired position before the start and always start from a certain place, when the bonus cell is at the very bottom. Accident? Perhaps, but we are adults...

By the way, in the old game Dream Catcher from the same Evolution, something no less surprising happened: the pointer needle sometimes suddenly "throwed" the wheel back. But only in cases where it reduced the players' winnings. Just a coincidence?

Monopoly from Evolution has also brought another mysterious surprise: a rare sector with a 4 Rolls bonus falls out twice in a row. The company dismissed it as a coincidence, although the mathematical probability of such a coincidence tends to zero. A very suspicious story...

In another similar game, the 4 Rolls bonus in Monopoly Live crashed, which led to its cancellation. The events on the bonus are intriguing in themselves, however, we are more concerned about the re-start of the wheel, which again stops on the same sector of 4 Rolls. The statistics are eloquent: the chance of getting one sector twice in a row is a fantastic 1 in 2916, and the probability of repeating the desired result on a separate spin is 1 in 54, which is also far from the usual logic. This is exactly what happened in this episode, allowing the previously failed bonus to be played.

A rare case - we have an official comment from Evolution itself. Here is the key quote: "Immediately after the crash in the next round, the 4 Rolls sector fell out again with a payout of 152x. We can assure you that this is purely the luck of the players, and not an attempt to compensate for the previous mistake

Possible manipulations in Crazy Time bonus games: debriefing

It's no secret that the main thrill in Crazy Time is the bonuses. It is on them that you catch that very adrenaline wave when the heart beats faster, and bills and hundreds of X's are already flying before your eyes. But is it possible that not everything is smooth here either?

"Random" multipliers from Top Slot - as if by magic!

Let's start with everyone's favorite Top Slot feature, where a multiplier randomly appears at the beginning of each round. It would seem that there is no deception - just a screen and computer graphics. But think for a second: if the wheel is at least slightly controlled by the provider, it is easy for him to adjust this "random" multiplier to the result in advance!

Well, think for yourself, why does the x50 multiplier most often fall on a sector that is almost impossible to catch? And the fact that large multipliers rarely fall out also raises considerable doubts.

Coin Flip bonus – a coin with character and a magnet?

Coin Flip is the most controversial bonus. This is generally a separate show. Have you ever seen how a "random" coin does incredible somersaults in the air, as if someone is controlling it inside? No? And I saw. And I'll even show you:

  • Coin Flip with a "jumping" coin
The coin seems to be deliberately turned over in the air, clearly reminding of the existence of magnets or some other cunning devices. Strange? Not the right word!

Or the case when part of the Coin Flip mechanism fell apart right during the bonus, and everyone saw the wires and innards sticking out. Evolution, of course, preferred to keep silent about this.

  • Coin Flip breaks the machine:

Suddenly, the coin toss device breaks, and the players' internal mechanisms are revealed. The surprise was not the most pleasant for the company.

And it would be okay if it were an isolated story, but the coin regularly does things that no one expects from it. Although, let's be honest: everyone understands that the real control of the result is much easier to do by assigning low multipliers, and Coin Flip regularly uses this. Do not be deceived by the expectation of large X's from this dubious coin.

Pachinko – a show with a puck and "unexpected" tricks

It would seem that Pachinko is the most honest and transparent bonus. The puck falls down, hitting the pins, and ends up in a pocket with a multiplier. Simply? Yes, not quite!

The puck jumps, then freezes, then falls off the screen altogether. It sounds absurd, but see for yourself:

  • The puck leaves Pachinko:

Suddenly, the puck flies right out of the machine, turning the game into a comedy show. Physics is powerless this time.

And sometimes the puck just freezes on the pin in the middle of the bonus, losing its backlight and causing bewilderment among players:

  • The puck is hanging on the pin:

The puck has stopped right on the pin and is hanging in the air. The host is in a panic, the players are shocked.

Or she begins to jump strangely, as if she is being thrown by an invisible stream of air:

  • Strange puck jumps Pachinko:

The puck clearly violates the laws of physics, jumps as if on a trampoline. Why? Evolution does not give an answer.

By the way, there were cases when the puck did not reach the pocket, and the host was already announcing the win. Coincidence? I don't think so. Most likely, the puck and screen are a handy tool for fine-tuning the multipliers at the request of the provider.

Cash Hunt – Find a multiplier that no one will find

The Cash Hunt bonus was originally created for intrigue: there are multipliers on the screen, then they are shuffled, and you need to guess the largest one. But think about it: the game is played on a screen, without real objects. How can players be sure that their choices really matter?

In addition, the largest multiplier of x25000 (!) in the history of Crazy Time has NEVER landed. It is on the screen, but after shuffling, players have never come across it. Coincidence? Personally, it seems to me that the algorithm distributes the multipliers very selectively, taking into account the bets of the players.

Cash Hunt – Find a multiplier that no one will find

Crazy Time World is a world of virtual "random"

And finally, the Crazy Time World bonus is a virtual wheel where you choose one of three pointers. Here everything is definitely under the control of the provider, since the wheel is completely virtual and the result is set by the computer.

The most interesting thing is that the hosts often say what percentage of players have chosen a particular pointer. And some experienced players have long noticed a pattern: if the majority of players have chosen one pointer, the winnings on it are often minimal.

Conclusion: if you want to win, choose the most unpopular pointer. Paradoxically, statistics confirm that this often works.

Crazy Time Statistics: Can You Trust It?

No matter what anyone says, without statistics, our conversations are just an empty concussion. You can shout about twisting as much as you want, but what is the reality?

Stability or illusion?

In the short term, the results of Crazy Time can vary absolutely wildly: today all day one bonus after another, tomorrow - deaf, like in a tank. Not surprising, because this is a game based on chance. But if we look at the statistics for a month or more, we will see a curious picture:

Long-term results are almost perfectly consistent with expected value. So perfect that it's even a little scary. As if the game itself makes sure that no one suspects anything superfluous. In other words, the RTP formally coincides with the declared provider, and we cannot accuse Evolution of cheating at this level. But there is a nuance:

Even if formally the RTP corresponds, you need to take into account that at night or in the morning there are many times fewer players than in the evening. And what does this mean? It's very simple: large multipliers often fall exactly when the least players bet on them. Strangely? A little. But let's move on.

Biggest Crazy Time Wins: Who Is Lucky?

Big wins are the main thing that attracts people to Crazy Time. It looks beautiful when someone flies x8000 or x12500. But the devil, as always, is in the details:

For example, the maximum multiplier in the history of Crazy Time is x25000. It officially exists in Cash Hunt, but in all the years of the game's existence, no one has ever received it. The players saw him, but no one managed to catch him. Coincidence? Well well.

What about the actual winnings?

  • Winning x12500 in Cash Hunt

A fantastic multiplier went to just a couple of dozen people, while the rest of the players received significantly smaller amounts. Beautiful, but suspicious.
  • Big x8000 win in the Crazy Time bonus

Everyone thought that the jackpot was finally caught. But here's the problem: only those who chose the blue pointer got the maximum win.

The only really fair big win that all players received happened on the Pachinko bonus (November 3, 2021). And do you know what time it happened? That's right, in the dead of night (01:09 UTC) when the casino was empty. Was it done on purpose? No one will say for sure, but questions remain.

So is Crazy Time worth playing?

Well, it's time to sum up. Can a player win big in Crazy Time? Yes of course. Perhaps it will even happen to you. But here's the question: does Evolution need to manipulate the results?

And here the answer is surprisingly simple: no. Why? Because the mathematics of the game itself is already in favor of the casino, and so much so that they simply do not need any additional spins. The casino is already winning, and winning consistently. The house edge in Crazy Time is about 6% on bonus bets, which is very solid for such games.

But are there still twists? To be honest, there are too many ambiguous situations to be 100% sure of Crazy Time's transparency. Virtual bonuses, strange behavior of the coin in Coin Flip, incomprehensible tricks with the puck in Pachinko, constant "failures" - all this gives reason to doubt the absolute fairness of the game.

And the last thing: Evolution is stubbornly silent and does not comment on the oddities in their games. Why does the company avoid comments if it is confident in its honesty? The question is open.

Conclusion: play, but without illusions

Despite all the suspicions, Crazy Time remains one of the most popular games in online casinos. Why? Just because it's exciting, it's driven, it's beautiful and exciting. Thousands of people sit down at this wheel of fortune every day, believing in miracles and a big multiplier.

But if you decide to play, play smart. Do not think that you have managed to unravel the system. Do not try to "outplay" the casino. Crazy Time is not about systematic earnings, but about entertainment, sometimes expensive, sometimes profitable, but always unpredictable.

If you are tired of Crazy Time and suspicions of dishonesty, try switching to slots. Most of them offer much more transparent game rules, the RTP is higher, and bets can be made much lower.

And the most important rule of any gambler: play only with money that will not upset you if you lose it. The rest is a matter of chance, luck and a little suspicious "magic" of Evolution.

Really good article, man! I haven't seen such a deep analysis for a long time.
