Toronto's Great Canadian Casino Resort opens this season

A significant announcement has been made by Great Canadian Entertainment in light of the upcoming summer 2023 opening of Canada's largest casino resort. The largest land-based casino operator announced that the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, a brand-new entertainment complex costing CA$1 billion, will be built near the crossroads of Highways 401 and 427.

With over 25 gaming, entertainment, and hospitality locations across Canada, CGE is one of the biggest gaming and hospitality operators in the country. CGE was founded back in 1982. It has operations in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. The 400-room hotel, 5000-seat live concert venue, new parkade, and other components of its Toronto project will debut this summer.

Coming This Summer, the 33-acre Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto will wow with its cutting-edge design. The new location will be near to Woodbine Racetrack and will have a high-end casino in the Las Vegas style, along with a 400-room hotel, a 5,000-seat live entertainment facility, and a number of eating attractions, all of which will breathe new life into Toronto.

The gambling operator also stated in its news release that its currently operational Casino Woodbine in the region will continue operations uninterrupted until the new CA$1 billion resort opens. The new establishment is scheduled to open its doors for business in the summer of 2023, and the industry pioneer in gaming announced that it will announce an official opening date.

The project, according to the operator's CEO Matthew Anfinson, would combine the best of gaming, live entertainment, eating, and lodging into one innovative experience that will be introduced for the first time in the nation. At its Pickering Casino Resort, Great Canadian Entertainment has opened a hotel to the public. The casino resort's new hospitality section, which debuted in July 2021, has approximately 275 luxury hotel rooms ranging in size from 388 square feet to 775 square feet. There are also 22 accessible rooms and 33 elegant, large suites with separate living areas.

The top casino operator began offering retail sports betting at 10 of its facilities in Ontario in the fall of 2022. While the other four opened specialized Great Canadian Sportsbooks, six of its venues introduced the product through sports betting kiosks.
