YouTube Implements Stricter Regulations on Online Gambling Content
It's about time! YouTube is finally cracking down on online gambling content, meaning those fake money streamers, including CasinoDaddy, will have to find a new playground. No more misleading promotions, no more shady links—YouTube is stepping up!
Creators will now be prohibited from directing viewers to gambling sites or applications through any means, including URLs, embedded links, visual displays, and even verbal references.
YouTube has announced major updates to its online gambling content policies, set to take effect on 19 March 2025.
These changes aim to enhance viewer protection, especially for younger users, by imposing stricter regulations on gambling-related content and its promotion.
Under the new rules, YouTube will prohibit any method of directing viewers to online gambling platforms that are not Google-certified. This includes URLs, embedded links, logos, verbal mentions, and visual displays.
Additionally, content that falsely promises guaranteed gambling wins may be removed—even if the site being promoted is Google-approved.
While YouTube is not completely banning gambling content, new age restrictions will be introduced. Videos featuring online casinos and gambling applications—excluding online sports betting and in-person gambling depictions—will no longer be available to signed-out users or those under 18.
Why It Matters
YouTube acknowledges that these changes will affect gambling-related content creators but insists that they are necessary to maintain a safe and responsible platform.
This move is part of a broader initiative by Google to regulate gambling-related content and advertising. Just last month, Google announced updates to its 'Gambling and Games' advertising policy, which will take effect in April, introducing country-specific guidelines and stricter compliance requirements for gambling advertisers.
It was long overdue! Finally, YouTube is taking a stand against misleading gambling promotions!

McCrazyMuffka Starlight Wins is just a classic. It reminded me of machines from the 2000s, only now with waifu. I catch a buzz without strain.

WaifuKnifu Damn, if they really pay 10% without hidden fees, this is a cool topic for developers!

FroggiAshhh If Saka goes off today, no amount of ball-passing will save PSG. It's all or nothing!

This was long overdue. Too many misleading casino promos out there. Responsible gambling should always come first!
Good move by YouTube, but I wonder how it will impact real gambling content creators who play with their own money. Hopefully, fair reviews and honest gameplay won’t be affected.
Finally! I’m tired of seeing fake streamers promoting casinos with unlimited fake money. This is a step in the right direction!
