8Not much of a casino—just slots, a staff who is unpleasant, and a way to take your money without much or any enjoyment. Save your money and stay home.
I've never experienced a worse casino than this one. When you start winning at the tables, they switch dealers every five minutes. I never heard or saw any machines handing out any money during the two days we were there. There is no good vibe here. I didn't lose any money, therefore my review isn't based on that, I'm afraid.
This location was a MAJOR letdown! is an enormous waste of time and money! I should have listened to my pals who didn't recommend this location, but I had to investigate on my own. First, there was no guest service at all in the "guest services"! I overheard two security guards talking about a female and "partying all night before coming to work" as I was playing the slots.
I can recommend it only for the races but not the casino. In the casino, the food is terrible and overpriced. The best there are races.
It is a cool place to visit with whole family. So, we went before Covid hit and enjoyed the races, casino not so much. The slots do not pay anything actually. Also, Table games are just boring.

Ajax Downs is a great quarter horse racing circuit in Ajax situated in Ontario, Canada. It was first opened in 1969 as "Picov Downs". This name was substituted in 2006 because of the positioning of newest gaming slots and machines. This was the beginning of Ajax Casino. A complete 1.2 km long circuit (6 stadiums) that was completed in 2009. The races are performed on this race track from May to October every year. Interesting fact is that this horse race was created by the Ukranian immigrant Alexander Picov, who came to Ontario in 1921. His family settled in Ontario and he was very passionate about the horses and horse riding. He started to bring the quarter horses to Canada in 1960s and 1970s. Alex Picov built and developed the Picov Downs in 1969. This race course became the family business. Many of Canada's best jockeys started their careers on the old "J-Track". The route was renamed Ajax Downs in 2006 with the creation of the new slot machine facility. An oval racetrack with six stadiums (1 stadium = 1/8 mile, 660 feet, 220 yards or 201.1 meters) was completed in 2009. Till today the racetrack is operated by the Picov family. The casino is owned and operated by Great Canadian Gaming.
