According to the personnel, the casino will be undergoing renovations for the upcoming year. I used to visit the casino for the banco buffet and stay a little while to play a few hands of poker. It is now an a la carte restaurant with a section of a seafood buffet instead of the buffet.
Local government. Run casinos are not the way to go because there are no benefits, such as a complimentary glass of wine while playing, and instead, you pay airport prices while you wait for the little old lady to finally decide she wants rice Krispy cake instead of cookies. That may be okay for some people, but not for me.
One of Canada's worst casinos has to be this one. There are no longer any winners, and the customer service is terrible. Better driving to one of the SIGA casinos; at the very least, your money will last longer. I'm confident that it would be far better if it weren't run by the government. Really, no one ever gives a damn if you had a miserable time.
