How the base game plays
The base game uses five reels, four rows and 14 fixed paylines. Wins pay left to right from the first reel, only the highest win per line is paid, and multiple line wins are added together. Wilds can land on all five reels and substitute for regular paytable symbols. The line paytable is deliberately modest: a five-wild line pays 10x, the top treasure symbol pays 6x, the compass pays 4.5x, three mid-tier symbols pay 2x, the key pays 1.5x and the royals pay 1x. That leaves the base game thin when Fortuna symbols stay away. The paylines keep the reels alive, but the real money has clearly been moved into the wheels.
How the Fortuna Wheels mechanic works
Fortuna symbols can land on reels 1, 3 and 5, with no more than one on each of those reels in a spin. They appear as Regular, Super or Epic versions. After normal line wins are evaluated, each symbol triggers a 12-slice wheel of the same quality. Regular Wheels contain additive values from 5x to 100x and multiplicative values from x2 to x20. Super Wheels raise the floor to 10x additive and x3 multiplicative. Epic Wheels strip the pool to 25x, 50x, 100x and x5, x10, x20. Every wheel can also include a Jackpot slice: Mini at 25x, Major at 100x, Mega at 500x and Max Win at 10,000x. One wheel can matter. Two or three are where the mechanic starts to bite.
The free spins round
Three FS scatters trigger Lucky Charm with 10 free spins and a higher chance of Fortuna Wheels appearing. Four scatters trigger She Who Spins, also with 10 free spins, but every wheel that lands is upgraded to Super or Epic. Five scatters trigger Fortune Is Blind, the hidden top round: 10 free spins with three Fortuna Wheels guaranteed on every spin. Retriggers are simple across the bonus games. Two additional FS symbols award two extra spins, while three additional FS symbols award four. The structure is strong because each tier changes the wheel quality or frequency, not just the spin count. The weak point is access. Fortune Is Blind cannot be bought directly, so the best version of the game sits behind a natural five-scatter trigger.
How the Cash Prize Bar feature works
The Cash Prize Bar sits outside the grid and collects the results from active Fortuna Wheels. If more than one wheel lands, the bar processes them from left to right. Additive values increase the bar; multiplicative values multiply whatever is already there. If the first wheel result is multiplicative, it is treated as additive because there is no existing bar value to multiply. That ordering rule matters. A spin showing x3, 5x and x2 pays as 16x, not 30x, because the first multiplier becomes 3x, the second value is added, and the third doubles the result. The bar resets after each spin, so there is no long-term meter build.
Bet limits, Ante Bet and Bonus Buy
Regular stakes convert to roughly CA$0.16 to CA$159.32 per spin. No separate Ante Bet is listed in the published rules; the pacing controls are FeatureSpins and direct buys. BonusHunt costs 3x and makes bonus entry five times more likely. Fortuna's Favor costs 75x and guarantees at least one wheel. Roll the Dice costs 500x and guarantees three Super or Epic wheels with Jackpot slices. At the minimum stake, those modes cost about CA$0.48, CA$11.95 and CA$79.66 per spin. Direct buys are Lucky Charm at 50x, about CA$7.97 minimum, and She Who Spins at 250x, about CA$39.83 minimum.
Rise of Fortuna Screenshots
This is one of Hacksaw Gaming's better wheel concepts, mainly because the Cash Prize Bar gives the feature some order and consequence. The three bonus tiers also create a real climb from "more wheels" to "three upgraded wheels every spin." The problems are just as clear: the base game is light, the best bonus is locked behind five scatters and the lowest RTP build is unacceptable. Best for players who like wheel mechanics and will check the paytable before putting real money behind the spin button.
- Fortuna Wheels combine 5x to 100x additive values, x2 to x20 multipliers and jackpot slices in one clean event.
- The Cash Prize Bar makes reel order matter instead of treating every wheel result as a flat prize.
- Three free spins tiers have different rules, with Fortune Is Blind guaranteeing three wheels per spin.
- A 10,000x cap is high for a slot most sources list around medium volatility.
- The 86.33% RTP operator build is hostile and should be avoided.
- The 14-line base game and 6x top regular symbol make non-wheel spins feel underpowered.
- Roll the Dice at 500x and natural-only Fortune Is Blind put the strongest setup behind expensive or rare access.

FAQ
Fortuna symbols land only on reels 1, 3 and 5. When one appears, normal line wins are paid first, then the matching Regular, Super or Epic wheel spins. Each wheel can award additive values, multiplicative values or a Jackpot result that feeds into the Cash Prize Bar.
The bar reads wheel results from left to right. That means a multiplying result on the first active wheel is not as strong as the same result on the final wheel. The first multiplier becomes additive, while later multipliers can enlarge the value already collected.
The direct buys make sense only if you specifically want to skip the low-value base game. Lucky Charm is the cheaper entry, while She Who Spins removes Regular wheels from the bonus. Roll the Dice is the aggressive option, but 500x per spin is a serious price.
Check the in-game RTP screen first. Operators can run versions well below the best configuration, and the lowest listed build is not worth playing. Ontario players should also confirm the title is live at their chosen iGaming Ontario casino, since supplier approval does not force every operator to carry every release.
Alberta's regulated iGaming market is expected through iGO Alberta in 2026, so availability there will depend on the province's launch catalogues and operator integrations. The provider already has AGCO supplier registration for Ontario, but each province and operator still controls its own game library.
It fits players who like visible feature moments rather than invisible math in the background. If watching wheels land, stack values and resolve in order sounds appealing, the design has enough bite. If you want frequent line hits or a cheap route to the top bonus, it will frustrate you.
