Positioned above the reels, these rival spellcasters influence gameplay through elemental modifiers and a bonus feature that escalates in intensity as the battle heats up. While not one of BTG’s genre-redefining releases, Warlocks blends familiar mechanics with creative twists that give the slot a sense of energy and unpredictability.

The game’s presentation focuses heavily on the contrast between fire and ice. The left side of the screen glows with molten reds, while the right side radiates cold blues, visually reinforcing the ongoing rivalry. The reels are set against a medieval castle façade, with the two warlocks occupying the tower tops. Animations highlight their magical conflict as they hurl spells and activate modifiers during base gameplay and the feature round. The aesthetic is polished, atmospheric, and distinctly Big Time Gaming, even if it doesn’t fully embrace the cinematic depth of some of the studio’s larger productions.

Warlocks uses a 6x4 layout with 4,096 ways to win. Wins form from left to right on adjacent reels, and BTG’s familiar reaction system removes winning symbols (other than Orbs), allowing new symbols to drop in for chain reactions. The slot operates on a high-volatility math model with a 96.5% RTP. Bets range from 0.10 to 20 per spin.

Symbols include classic BTG-style gem-studded card ranks (9–A) and premium magical items such as potions, rings, books, and cups. A 6-symbol win pays 0.4x–0.6x for royals and 1x–20x for premiums. Wilds appear on all reels except the first and substitute for all symbols except Orbs.

Warlock Bonuses

Two elemental modifiers may activate during the game:

• Fire Warlock Bonus: Removes all symbols except Orbs on reels 2–5, increasing the chance of triggering the feature.
• Ice Warlock Bonus: Transforms all instances of a random symbol into Orbs on reels 2–5.

These bonuses inject volatility spikes into the base game and can help set up entry into the main feature.

Landing 6 or more Orbs triggers the Stash and Spin bonus round.
Key mechanics include:

• Each position spins to reveal either a blank or an Orb worth up to 50x.
• Orb values are added to the overall prize total.
• Orbs are not sticky; the board re-spins each turn.
• The Fire Warlock ignites positions, preventing them from spinning; fire spreads outward each round. Any Orb covered by fire is multiplied by the Fire Multiplier.
• The Ice Warlock can extinguish the fire, reopening all positions to spin again. Each time the fire is extinguished, the Fire Multiplier doubles, starting at x2.
• The feature ends when fire has consumed all positions.

The combination of fire spreading, ice removing it, and a multiplier that keeps doubling creates a tense and unpredictable bonus structure.

Players can skip straight to the action via:

• Power Play (8x bet): Guarantees a Warlock Bonus trigger.
• Bonus Buy (60x bet): Direct entry into the Stash and Spin feature.
