Evoplay Secures Ontario License—But at What Cost?
Evoplay has officially entered Ontario’s iGaming market after receiving a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). However, instead of celebrating, players should be concerned—Evoplay has reportedly slashed the RTP (Return to Player) of its games to a meager 80%, making winning significantly harder.
While the company touts its expansion into North America, this move signals a troubling trend: maximizing profits at the expense of players. Instead of bringing innovation, Evoplay seems more interested in ensuring the house wins more than ever.
CCO Ihor Zarechnyi praised the opportunity, stating they aim to "win over local players." However, with such poor RTP rates, Ontario gamblers might want to think twice before spinning the reels.
Adding to the skepticism, Evoplay has yet to announce partnerships with Ontario operators. This delay raises further doubts—will players even be interested in games that pay out so little?

ravenmilkers If Black Cube is really just an operator, then who spent money on such a large-scale operation? It doesn't cost 5 kopecks.

This just proves that casinos and game developers only care about squeezing every dollar they can. RTP keeps dropping, but somehow, they still call it innovation!
Ontario regulators should be protecting players, not allowing game providers to rig the odds even worse.
I used to enjoy Evoplay slots, but if they’re lowering RTP just to milk more money, I’m out.
So Evoplay expands to Ontario and the first thing they do is nerf payouts? Great start… for them, not for players.
80% RTP? That’s robbery! Why even bother playing if the odds are stacked this badly?
