Musk turns X into a lottery machine: bets are now sewn directly into the social network

Social network X (formerly Twitter) continues its strange evolution — increasingly becoming something between media, a betting aggregator, and a slot machine. Now Musk has pulled the Polymarket platform to the project  , a prediction service that does not even officially work in the United States.

The new announcements say that X users will be able to receive "real-time predictions of events" based on social network data and on Grok AI algorithms, the same artificial intelligence that Musk personally developed for X. Right in the feed, they promise to show event probabilities, trends, and "interactive predictions." In general, this is another way to build bids into a custom feed.

Details of the cooperation were not disclosed. It is only known that "many new joint integrations" are coming. It is possible that in the future, bets and odds will appear in posts, profiles, recommendations, and even in ad units.

In general, this is not the first step of Elon Musk to turn X into a platform where you can play with money. Previously, the X feed has already tested the display of odds for sports events from BetMGM. Now, Polymarket is a much broader service that allows you to make forecasts and bets on literally everything: from the outcome of elections to oil prices or the weather.
