Trainwreck hit Twitch for bots — but for some reason kept silent until he became a co-owner of Kick
Trainwreck: Twitch is teeming with bots, but the platform's management is in no hurry to fight it
Twitch management, including CEO Dan Clancy, is well aware of the massive cheating on the platform, but, according to Tyler "Trainwreck" Faraz, is not taking any action. The streamer and one of the co-owners of the rival platform Kick stated this in a recent episode of the Kick Talk podcast.
"As a strong anti-bot advocate for the past five years, let me tell you this: Twitch is much more prevalent. And it's not just about the relative performance compared to Kick, it's much worse overall. 90 out of 100 English-speaking streamers cheat online. This whole site is just teeming with bots," Trainwreck said.
He claims that over the years, Twitch has built a false reputation that the platform is dominated by "real" online, when in fact everything has long been teeming with artificially cheated viewers. Trainwreck also claims that Dan Clancy is aware of this problem, but does not take the initiative.
However, it is worth making a remark here: Trainwreck began to make such loud statements only after he became closely associated with Kick, including financially. Prior to his partnership with this platform, he streamed on Twitch for years and did not express any public complaints about mass viewing. Moreover, the Kick platform itself, despite statements about the "fight against bots", has also been repeatedly caught on the presence of bots in chats and views. Do not forget that Trainwreck itself has resorted to cheating in the past - which makes its criticism, to put it mildly, dual standards.
So before labeling Twitch as a "bot farm", it might be worth starting with yourself and your native platform.
This is not the first time that Trainwreck has announced cheating. In November 2024, he assured that individual streamers on Twitch spend $10-20 thousand a week on bots.
An illustrative case was when streamer QueenGloriaRP accidentally fell asleep on the air with an open window of a viewbot program. After that, her account was quickly blocked for violating the rules of the platform.
But while Trainwreck is criticizing Twitch, there is a feeling that the real goal is not so much to fight for honesty, but to promote Kick against the backdrop of other people's problems.

McCrazyMuffka Starlight Wins is just a classic. It reminded me of machines from the 2000s, only now with waifu. I catch a buzz without strain.

WaifuKnifu Damn, if they really pay 10% without hidden fees, this is a cool topic for developers!

FroggiAshhh If Saka goes off today, no amount of ball-passing will save PSG. It's all or nothing!

He's just trying to promote Kick. And the louder he yells about Twitch, the more hype there is around his project.
In general, it's funny.
Who would say... I drowned myself for cheating a couple of years ago. People don't change, they just change sides.
Bots are everywhere. But with Kick, it seems, they also talk. I saw how 5k viewers - and in the chat silence is deathly.
Well, yes, I conveniently remembered about the "bots" when the money with Twitch ran out. Before that, I ate from my hand and did not complain.
