a very compact casino. There are some tables on the lower level and a decent number of slot machines on the main floor. We tried a handful of the machines, but none of them paid out. Not the casino of my dreams.
It took me four trips back to the front desk before I finally received a key that would work. While the wife went to the casino, I made the decision to snooze. Because there were two pairs of bikini bottoms beneath my bed when she came back, she was really angry with me.
The room was good. It took three tries and switching rooms at check-in to get into a room, despite reading reviews that stated many customers had issues with key cards not working upon check-in.
The exterior of this casino does not look as shiny as it does in Las Vegas. The architecture is modern, but I can't say I like it. The parking is ample and convenient. The place is huge with gambling on several floors. They have several restaurants.
I'm not a big gamer, so going to a casino is a very rare occasion. However, the casino is all a casino, not a resort, but it is clean and has a lovely buffet.

The Great Blue Heron Casino is situated on Skoog Island. It is on the east of the Port Perry, from Ontario community as well as northeast of Toronto. Both the Casino and the land on which it is built belong to the Mississaugas, the indigenous peoples of Skoog Island.
History
The First Nation theme permeates the entire space, in the interior and is especially noticeable in the corporate roof in red, blue and cream colours. Great Blue Heron Gaming has built a successful partnership with Casinos Austria. In fact, the Steiner family and Sonco Gaming both operate the casino. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation operates slot machines, and a non-profit charitable organization founded by the indigenous Mississauga peoples of Skoogh Island operates the board games. Income and profits are distributed between the parties and various charities based on contractual agreements.
Slots
Originally opened in 1997, with slot machines and a 650-seat bingo hall, the casino underwent complete renovation in 1999 and 2000. Its area is approximately 25,000 square feet (2,300 m). It is now consisting of the two bars, one restaurant.
