This place is amazing! We booked a two night stay on our return from Cuba! They had a special rate of $ 119 a night which is excellent! First of all, this place is huge ... there is a casino and an ice rink on site. There is also a restaurant, but we chose to eat at the mall! The room was very clean, the duvet and pillows were down, we had a large flat screen LCD TV! We also had a king size bed which was nice after such a long flight from Cuba. The room was a bit small, but not confined. There was also a free shuttle to and from the Edmonton Mall ... better than paying for the cab! The staff at reception and at the casino were very nice! We were very happy with our stay. If we still had this rate, we would gladly come back
For starters, the hotel is brand new and 100% non-smoking. The rooms were quiet, clean, tidy and the beds were very comfortable. There is also a fabulous gym on the second floor - the best I've seen in a hotel - tip-top.
We stayed at this hotel near the Edmonton Mall at the end of our trip. The hotel appears far from the shopping center on the map but in fact it is a ten-minute drive away. The hotel is very large and attached to the casino. There is plenty of parking space, free of charge, probably due to the hotel's isolated location. The staff are very friendly, they really seem to want to see you have a good stay. There is a workout room with treadmills and wall mounted televisions. There is a machine with all the weights. We didn't use the pool but it was very small and shallow. This hotel is very clean and looks very new. I believe some people on this site say it was built in 2006. Each bedroom has a large flat screen TV. The beds are very comfortable, but the light from the smoke detector and alarm prevents some people from sleeping. I recommend this hotel for all kinds of stays.
I gifted this trip to my wife, and I booked December 1, 2007. On December 10, my mother-in-law told me that my wife was afraid to take a plane. Since the trip was not going to go, I called the hotel immediately, giving them 30 days’ notice, as requested. Basically, the Marriott's response was, "sorry, too bad". We keep your money: $ 275.00 There are a lot of good hotels in the area, but NOT this one.
Hotel with average size room, small bathroom, no safe, simple casino buffet restaurant meal, little choice. Casino smoking section really unpleasant, but positive point 1000 machines. Hotel far from everything, Edmonton mall fifteen minutes away. Friendly staff, but no one speaks French.
