Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is located in Gananoque, Ontario, a gateway town to the famous Thousand Islands region. The casino delivers a relaxed gaming atmosphere that appeals to both local players and tourists exploring the area.
Owned by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, the property focuses on accessible entertainment with slots, table games, and on-site dining all under one roof. Its manageable size makes it easy to navigate and welcoming for first-time visitors.
History
The casino was first announced in 2000 and officially opened its doors in June 2002. From the beginning, it was designed to serve as a regional entertainment hub rather than a large resort-style casino.
In 2016, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation took over operations, bringing updated management practices and refreshed gaming offerings. Since then, the casino has maintained steady popularity among visitors to eastern Ontario.
Slots
Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands features approximately 550 slot machines with a wide variety of themes and styles. Players can choose from classic slots, modern video slots, and multi-line games.
Betting limits are accessible, starting from just $0.01 per line, which makes the slots suitable for casual players and longer gaming sessions. The slots area is well laid out, allowing for a comfortable and unrushed experience.
Table Games
The casino offers around 26 table games within its 15,000-square-foot gaming floor. Popular choices include blackjack, Spanish 21, and roulette.
The table games area caters to both newcomers and seasoned players, with clear rules and a steady pace of play. Limits are generally accessible, making it easy for casual players to participate while still providing enough excitement for those who enjoy strategic play and classic casino action.
Dining
When it’s time to take a break, guests can visit the Windward Restaurant & Lounge located inside the casino. The restaurant serves casual fare with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Daily specials add value, while the fully licensed bar provides a relaxed setting to enjoy a drink. Large screens allow guests to watch sports while dining, making it a comfortable spot to unwind.
Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands delivers a straightforward and enjoyable casino experience focused on slots, table games, and casual dining. - It is based on a real on-site visit, with floor, table, racing and dining notes taken at the venue rather than copied from a press release.
- Every time-sensitive fact is dated, because casino hours, live-table days, dining and harness-racing schedules change by season.
- It is independent, we are not the operator and entries here are not paid placements.
- Safety notes stay conservative, covering Ontario’s 19+ rules, the venue’s licensed status and responsible-gambling support.

Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands lacks care.
Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands doesn’t encourage breaks.
I went to the restaurant, but it had already closed by 10:30. grabbed a coffee, and in less than five minutes, I had spent $40 on an outdated slot with tape keeping the tumbler together. I was not allowed to depart with coffee, the desk clerk informed me. I sipped on half a cup of stale coffee before leaving. If you want to spend the entire day playing penny slots while wearing a nappy, head here.
Even though we did visit during these unique hours, we noticed that the sign-in processes were a little disjointed and drawn out. Avoid unless you're a dedicated gambler or have plenty of time to spare. at addition, since I'm already at the office, I don't require instructions on how to make an online appointment.
Very bad experience; lengthy entry process; and constant hassle from security once inside to show that time hasn't expired. Depressing with poor lighting and no music. Machines are unavailable and bare. Spend less money right now.
The same number of machines are only started by operators when there are visitors. A total swindle because the machines that ARE in operation don't pay off or won't accept your payment.
Since it is too challenging to get there on foot from the parking lot, kindly allow disabled people to be dropped off at the door!
