Crystal Queen is played on a playing field consisting of 6 reels with 5 symbols per reel. And the unique thing is that the top 3 reels are frozen on the 1st spin. You can thaw these symbols, but then you have to make winning combinations.
With every winning spin, more symbols are thawed and after 3 winning spins in a row, all paylines are cleared. You start with 20 paylines and you can unlock up to 36 extra paylines, for a maximum of 56 paylines.
You pay a fixed stake per spin, which starts at 0.50 euros per spin and goes up to 100 euros per spin.

Crystal Queen has a payout percentage of 96.16%. This is actually a bit less than we are used to from Quickspin slots, which are usually (well) above 96.5%. But by no means a bad RTP.
The variance is on the low side of medium. There are many small to medium payouts. The bonus round is also very frequent. You are therefore essentially purchasing gambling entertainment with Crystal Queen. You may not get rich very quickly with this slot, but you will get a lot of fun and playing time out of it.

Crystal Queen works with so-called Swooping Reels: with every winning combination, the winning symbols are removed and the symbols above them fall down. This way new winning combinations can arise. We have already seen this mechanism in Gonzo's Quest and Big Bad Wolf, among others.
The multiplier is increased with every winning spin, up to a maximum of 5x. Always nice to grab those big payouts.

There are regular wilds and so-called “spreading wilds”. The first replaces all other symbols except the scatter symbol. The spreading wilds can grow in all directions and create more winning combinations.

Due to the Swooping Reels, (spreading) wilds and the multipliers up to 5 x, it is logical that 5 of the same symbols do not pay out very much. 5 times the ice queen is the highest possible combination and it only pays out 5 x the total bet.
5 red princesses is good for 4 x the total bet, 5 x a “Kristof” in a row is good for 3 x the bet and 5 times the moose “Sven” on an active payline is good for 2.4 x the bet.
The card symbols pay out between 1.2 x and 1.6 x your bet.

3 red scattered symbols give you 10 free spins where all 56 paylines are immediately activated. As an added bonus, payouts count from left to right as well as from right to left.
The multipliers remain, which increase after every winning spin, up to a maximum of 5 x.
But we're not there yet. All symbols are stacked and during the free spins, both regular and spreading wilds can be found on the reels.
