The base game unfolds at a crossroad where enormous jaws attempt to draw cars and people into the depths of hell, triggering the bonus round. The game area is divided into four cross sections, each containing four symbols connected in the centre by a Devil Wild. Winning combinations occur by connecting two symbols horizontally from left to right, right to left, top to bottom, or bottom to top. Winning symbols are removed, causing remaining symbols to fall towards the centre, with new symbols filling empty spaces.

Scatter symbols, appearing in the centre row/column of their cross section, render remaining symbols in their section inactive when adjacent to the centre position. Removed symbols no longer appear for subsequent drops.
