The playing field of King Carrot therefore consists of 7 reels and 7 rows. Unlike a standard slot machine, Hacksaw Gaming has chosen to use the cluster system instead of paylines.
If you land 5 or more identical symbols in a cluster (i.e. next to or below each other), you have landed a winning cluster and you win prizes!

The first special character we encountered was the Wild symbol. This symbol can replace all paying symbols in your playing field and therefore provides more winning chances when you land it.
King Carrot
When King Carrot appears in your playing field, he triggers his own feature. He picks any low paying symbol and substitutes it for a carrot throughout your playing field. If you land more than 1, several symbols are replaced. King Carrot will reward you with a respin when he visits your playing field.
Epic King Carrot
While replacing the symbols you have a chance that 1 to 3 Epic King Carrots will land in your playing field. These replace any carrot symbol. Each Epic King Carrot triggers a multiplier attached to a randomly chosen carrot.
These multipliers only apply to a winning cluster with carrots. If you land multiple multipliers, they are first added together before your amount is multiplied. The multipliers have a value between x2 and x100.
Carrot Carnage
The last special symbol in King Carrot is the Scatter symbol. If you land at least 3 of these in your playing field, you trigger the Carrot Carnage. You will be rewarded with 10 free spins. Furthermore, the feature works just like the base game and King Carrot himself can also land in your playing field.
Bird Attack
At any given moment a bird can fly over your playing field, removing an entire row or reel from your playing field. New symbols then invade your playing field. The only symbols that are safe from this bird are the Wild and the Scatter symbol.
