European blackjack game rules
European single-deck blackjack is played by a casino visitor and a dealer. The player needs to score more points than the opponent, but no more than twenty-one, otherwise there will be a bust leading to a loss. The game is played on one deck of fifty-two cards.
European Blackjack rules
Cards from two to ten are valued according to their face value. Any "picture", that is, a jack, king or queen, brings ten points each. The face value of the ace is determined by the player independently and can be equal to one or eleven points. If the player chose the first option, then the layout is called hard. Otherwise, the alignment is called "soft".
The player is required to bet boxes. They can be from one to three. The size of the bet can vary from one to two hundred. Players are not allowed to bet on more than three boxes.
The croupier will deal a pair of cards for each box to himself and the opponent when the player presses the "Deal" button. Blackjack in the game is a combination of two or more cards, giving a total of twenty-one points. The winning combination can be collected after the first distribution, if luck is favourable.
The first card of the croupier is dealt face up, that is, the player sees it. If it is an ace, then the player is given the right to insure the current bet against the presence of blackjack in the dealer's hands. It is customary to call insurance an additional amount that a player bets on the fact that the dealer managed to collect blackjack from the first hand. The amount of insurance is equal to half the bet on the corresponding box. After making insurance, the game starts in the next box.
If a player has a pair of cards in his hand, giving a total of eleven points, then he can double. In addition, it is possible to split the cards into two hands. It becomes available when there are two cards of the same denomination in hand. The split requires an additional bet, the same size as the initial bet. The following are the rules that apply only when playing in two hands.
If you split the cards, then it is forbidden to do it again. You cannot double or give up if the game is already in two hands. In this case, only one card is given for each of the split aces, and a twenty-one-point combination does not count as a completed blackjack.
If the player is satisfied with his cards, then he presses the "Enough" button. If he needs an additional card, then you need to click "Deal". After clicking "Enough", the game moves to the other hand. If after the draw of cards there is a bust, then you lose the bet - the casino takes the bet. The move in this case also passes to the other hand. The croupier has the right to move only after the player has gone in each of the boxes.
For the dealer, European single-deck blackjack has a special rule that is practically independent of the cards the player has. The croupier is required to take an additional card if he has no more than seventeen points in his hand. The rule loses its meaning and is not executed if the player has already busted.
Possible results of games (comparison)
If the dealer has collected blackjack, but the player insures the bet in time, then the payout for such insurance will be two to one. If, after insurance, the winning combination was collected by the player himself, then he simply gets his bet back. The rest of the money goes to the casino.
If the croupier failed to collect blackjack, then all the insurances made by the participant are not subject to payment, they are assigned by the casino. If in such a situation a player has collected blackjack, then he is entitled to a payout in the ratio of three to one. Comparison of other hands occurs in pairs.
If the croupier busts or the player manages to score more points than the dealer, but without busting, then the player is paid a one-to-one win. If the opponents scored an equal number of points, then a draw is counted and the bet is returned. When a player loses to the dealer on points, the casino takes his bet in full. The same happens if the player has more than twenty-one points in his hand.
As you can see, European Single-Deck Blackjack is a fairly simple game and not much different from the classic version.
andersonPatricia Reactoonz 2 is a slot for those who want to watch falling symbols for half an hour and then realize their balance is at zero. You’re welcome. But seriously, it’s fun, especially when that big Gargantoon pops out and clears the screen.
ThompsonSharon0 All this junk with fake slots is just a nightmare! How many times have I fallen for these tricks, thinking I was playing Book of Ra, only to find out that I was simply scammed!
WilliamsMary3 Well written, but what about the legal side of things?
StevenTheMad BlaBlaSpin... Blah blah blah it is. Pragmatic let me down, but I loved Sweet Bonanza so much (
JamesTheCharismatic just a pathetic swindler
MargaretTheFearless Stake might be expanding with real money poker, but how can we trust them when their streamers are playing with fake money? It’s misleading, and it feels like they’re trying to hype up wins that aren’t even real.
Sarahjohnson It's about time they start regulating these gambling ads, especially on social media. My teenager is constantly seeing them, and it’s not right. We need stronger protections for our kids!
DonaldTheEnigmatic Completely agree! All these 'responsible gaming' investments mean nothing if gambling ads are shoved in our faces 24/7. Ban the ads and maybe people wouldn’t need so much help in the first place.
Collinstaylor Faith and care? In a casino? Yeah, right! How about you care about giving us back the higher RTP rates instead of feeding us these ridiculous marketing buzzwords?
JamesTheKnowledgeable Yeah, right.
DonnaTheYouthful Are you serious?! Twister is inspired by a board game? I love good old Twister, and now there's a slot based on it!
JohnsonCarol2 I can't believe LeoVegas is launching a new gaming studio after slashing the RTP on their existing games. It feels like they’re just trying to cash in without considering the players. I'll be watching closely!
