Casino de Montréal
The casino was modest and lacked the lively atmosphere found in most casinos. After approximately an hour, we decided that we didn't like the choices of machines and left. The gondola ride was excellent, and the scenery was breath-taking!

Casino de Montréal
We were really dissatisfied in the staff's demeanour when we visited the casino over the holiday weekend. My husband was playing his slot machine next to my ATM when I went to grab cash. My spouse said that she was returning as the staff came over and cashed me out. You cannot book a machine without a members card, the woman scolded you.

Casino de Montréal
Most unfriendly Casino de Montréal I've ever been in, PERIOD. A few were alright, but the most didn't know much, so stay away if you have lung problems. food is possibly good, but altogether, I won't be returning.

Casino de Montréal
The Quebec government, known to be totalitarian, unethical and corrupt at the best of times, is fully responsible for this casino. You will not be rewarded for your visit, no matter how much money you spend. The staff are rude and unhelpful, the furnishings are very dated, the layout is confusing, and the overall furnishings are well below standard. Oh yes, slots are the most dense you will ever come across because the government of Quebec will do anything to get your money.

Casino de Montréal
It took me 40 minutes to arrive at MTL Casino by car at 5pm to be redirected to one of its external car parks, located 10 minutes away. I mean, come on, it's only 5pm; how complete is your indoor parking space. Then at parking lot P 4, I have to wait in line to get on their bus to get back to Caisno. A way to waste my time before milking my money away.

Casino de Montréal
The casino is beautiful and very pleasant, but the buffet is not good at all. We went twice and recently. The beef roast was too cooked, rice, the mushroom and shrimp dishes were cold, and worse, my friend came back sick after eating shrimp? certainly not what it used to be.

Montreal’s gambling scene didn’t emerge overnight; it developed gradually alongside Quebec’s changing regulatory landscape. In earlier decades, gaming activities were mostly limited to small community events, raffles, and tightly controlled betting environments, with little room for large-scale casino operations.

Everything shifted in the early 1990s when the Quebec government decided to centralize and modernize gambling under Loto-Québec. This led to the launch of Casino de Montréal  in 1993, marking a defining moment for the city. The venue was introduced as a state-operated casino, fully licensed and regulated, with a focus on both economic growth and responsible gaming.
