Sometimes reality surpasses any Hollywood scenario. In Nevada, on the famous I-15, a drama unfolded, the ending of which was both tragic and absurd. The main character is 51-year-old Marc Gayo, whose night has turned into a catalogue of criminal offenses: from drunk driving to an accident with a police officer and escape.

The Chase That Never Happened

It all started with a hard blow. While driving under the influence of alcohol, Mark Gaio crashed into a patrol car at full speed. The police officer was injured, and the culprit, without even thinking to stop, pressed the gas pedal to the floor and fled the scene. It seemed to be the beginning of a typical chase.

But Gayo chose a very specific route to escape. Instead of getting lost on the roads of Nevada, he turned into the brightly lit lights of the Silverton Casino. And it was there, just 20 minutes after the accident, that he was found. He did not hide in the rooms and did not try to blend in with the crowd. Mark Gayo was fast asleep, unconscious bent over a slot machine.

Whiskey, denial and solid collateral

The picture was completed by two empty whiskey bottles found in his car. Despite the obvious signs, the man categorically refused to take an alcohol test on the spot, agreeing only to a subsequent blood test at the station.

Behind this wild story there was a personality that was far from the image of a criminal: Gayo turned out to be a father of four children and a media specialist who worked with such a giant of the entertainment industry as MGM Resorts. He faced serious charges, including drunk driving causing harm to health and leaving the scene of an accident. However, after paying a bail of $ 100,000, he was released to await trial. How this case ended for the respectable manager, the press did not report.
