Gambling with Lives Launches Campaign to Remove Gambling Ads from TfL

The campaign, spearheaded by Gambling with Lives, seeks to garner support for a petition urging London Mayor Sadiq Khan to fulfil his pledge made in 2021 to eliminate gambling advertisements from public transport.

Highlighting the staggering amount of money—over a billion pounds—spent annually by gambling companies on advertising, Gambling with Lives underscores the significant impact these ads have on encouraging individuals to gamble. Notably, one of the contentious ad campaigns on the TfL network, titled "This bus is now a casino," sparked widespread criticism and prompted the withdrawal of the ads following public backlash.
