Great Canadian Entertainment made an exciting announcement on Tuesday as they welcomed their new Chief Financial Officer to the team. Pauline Alimchandani is set to assume her role on March 31, taking over from current CFO Darren Gwozd.

CEO Matthew Anfinson expressed his enthusiasm about Alimchandani joining the senior management team, highlighting her extensive experience in finance, capital markets, and financial reporting. Anfinson emphasized Alimchandani's potential contributions to the company's long-term growth and value creation for stakeholders.

Established in 1982, Great Canadian stands as Canada's premier gaming and hospitality company, operating 25 properties nationwide in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. With over one million square feet of gaming space, 19,000 slot machines, 650 live table games, and 60 restaurants, Great Canadian has solidified its position in the industry. Notably, the company unveiled the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, the country's newest and largest casino resort, in 2023.

Alimchandani brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served in similar positions with other firms. Her most recent role was as CFO of Northland Power, where she oversaw a global team and chaired the organization's investment committee. With 18 years of professional experience, including executive roles at Dream Unlimited Corp. and vice presidency at BMO Capital Markets, Alimchandani has been recognized for her outstanding achievements in the field, earning accolades such as "Canada's 50 Best Executives" and "Canada's Clean 50."

Expressing her excitement about joining Great Canadian, Alimchandani sees significant opportunities to enhance the company's financial and operational capabilities, further solidifying its competitive edge in the market.

Anfinson extended his appreciation to outgoing CFO Gwozd for his service to the company during a transformative period, which included significant projects like the opening of the Toronto casino.
