LeoVegas landed the new Ontario License
Canada's largest province officially opened a regulated online gambling market on April 4. Now residents of Ontario can legally register in an online casino and place bets in any type of gambling entertainment.
The local gambling commission will control the online gambling market. Many well-known slot providers and casino operators have already received licenses. Among them:
Leo Vegas Group.
Rush Street Interactive.
Gaming Realms.
BRAGG Gaming Group.
888 Holdings PLC.
The government of Ontario made the decision to legalize online gambling entertainment three years ago. In 2019, information appeared about the start of the development of the relevant bill. But it was adopted only in 2020, and April 1, 2022 was a significant date for all representatives of the iGaming market.
According to a report by PlayCanada, which is responsible for monitoring the Canadian gaming market, almost 1,300 jobs will be created as a result of the legalization of gambling in Ontario. No less important is the fact that the treasury will be able to receive annually multimillion-dollar tax deductions from playground operators. All this will bring the region to a higher level in terms of economic and social development.
Great Partnerships
LeoVegas made a great partnership with lots of game providers including Push Gaming, Swintt, and Slotmill. After officially receiving the license, LeoVegas and Royal Panda have agreed to create the newly made content for Canadian market. It is also LeoVegas’s ninth license. LeoVegas has also confirmed that from all the Canadian revenue they made last year, the 35% was done in Ontario region.
Ontario Welcomes Online Operators
Operators will be able to use Google ads to attract customers to the sites. But when you connect it, there are some restrictions: you cannot promote bonuses, free credits and other types of rewards.
Representatives of the local gambling commission noted that at the moment not all operators and providers have received a license. Over 30 applications are pending approval. This will soon connect new participants to the iGaming market and thus increase income from gambling entertainment.

mooniverse Another state gets flooded with Play’n GO slots. Too bad the RTP is hardly ever player-friendly, with some games barely hitting 80%. Hope they reconsider giving players more control over it.

TheHoodWhisperer It's alarming to see how many young people are getting exposed to gambling through streamers. With the rise of this influence, we need more stringent regulations to protect underage viewers and ensure they aren't encouraged to gamble.

TheHunther This is such a sad story. Gambling can start as a harmless pastime but can quickly turn into an addiction that destroys lives. We need better education and support to help those struggling with it.

YellowToad This is a great step forward! Young people shouldn’t have a criminal record for a mistake, but they should still face consequences. A fine system makes much more sense.

YELLOWWOOD This is amazing news! The NFL coming to Australia is a huge win for sports fans. The MCG will be a fantastic venue—can't wait to see which team the Rams will face!

Sasuke12345678 Finally, some sensible limits! Protecting younger players with lower stake caps is a smart move, though I do wonder if high-stakes enthusiasts will simply migrate to less regulated platforms.

YellowKetch Great move by LeoVegas! Excited to see how this transition improves the sportsbook experience. Hope they bring better odds and more live betting options!
