Playtech turned out to be a secret customer: The scandalous investigation against Evolution has been continued
NEXT.io published information that the provider Playtech was the same anonymous customer who initiated an investigation against its direct competitor, Evolution. Playtech paid $2.3 million to the Israeli intelligence agency Black Cube to prepare a report on Evolution's work in unregulated markets.
This information became public after almost five years of litigation in the United States (New Jersey). Evolution managed to achieve the identification of the customer of the investigation through the court.
Evolution CEO Martin Karlesund has already reacted to the news. He said Playtech would be immediately listed as a defendant in the ongoing defamation lawsuit. Evolution intends to recover compensation from the competitor in the amount of "billions of dollars."
Evolution accuses Black Cube of blatantly fabricating evidence. According to them, the agency used secret recordings of conversations that were conducted by agents under false names. It is reported that Black Cube employees used wigs for conspiracy and even posed as investors from Sudan. During the court hearings, two American regulators, as well as a New Jersey court, have already recognised the report provided by Black Cube as unreliable.
Recall that in 2021, Black Cube published a report in which Evolution was accused of operating in the markets of Iran, Sudan, Syria and China. In August 2025, the agency provided the court with video recordings that allegedly recorded the confessions of the provider's managers. Black Cube insists on the authenticity of the materials provided. The trial is expected to last until 2026.
I'm just shocked by the methods. This is savagery. Instead of making better games, they spend millions on spies. Abomination.
it's the former Mossad, isn't it? If they did, then there is no smoke without fire. There are confessions in the video, where will Evolution go?
Shares will go down tomorrow. To pay $2.3 million for a report that the court called "unreliable", and at the same time get into a billion-dollar lawsuit... This is the fiasco of the year.
Awesome.
Yes, they are all good there. It 100% works in Iran, and Playtech is just suckers who fell asleep. Now they will sue billions from each other, and we, ordinary players, will pay.
