Soft2Bet Expands into North America with Ontario Certification
In its ongoing expansion across North America, Soft2Bet has announced its successful certification in Ontario, Canada's most populous province and a significant online gambling market. The company confirmed the certification earlier this week, revealing that it has obtained a Certificate of Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the province's gambling regulator. This achievement enables Soft2Bet to extend its presence in the region.
The Ontario certification is a strategic move for Soft2Bet, aligning with its broader expansion efforts throughout North America. It marks a crucial milestone as the company progresses towards the launch of its iGaming brand, Tooniebet.com. Given the substantial potential of Ontario's betting and iGaming market, this development underscores Soft2Bet's commitment to strategic growth initiatives in key regions.
Earlier in January, Soft2Bet solidified its presence in the gambling sector by partnering with Hacksaw Gaming in Romania. This collaboration saw Hacksaw Gaming supplying games to power the gaming portfolio of Don.ro, Soft2Bet's brand in Romania. The partnership granted new customers access to a selection of Hacksaw Gaming's popular titles, including Wanted Dead or a Wild, Le Bandit, and RIP City.
Martin Collins, Soft2Bet's Chief Business Development Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the Ontario certification, emphasizing its significance in the company's expansion plans. He stated, "This Ontario certification is another significant and important step in our corporate expansion plans," highlighting the alignment with Soft2Bet's objective of expanding its regulatory footprint.
Elisabeth Isaksson, Soft2Bet's Head of Regulatory Compliance, echoed Collins's sentiments, underscoring the dedication of the compliance and regulatory teams in facilitating the company's expansion into highly regulated markets. She commented, "Being registered with the AGCO in Ontario is a testament to the work our compliance and regulatory teams are doing daily to enable our continued expansion in the world’s largest regulated markets."
Isaksson also expressed excitement about Soft2Bet's entry into North America and its plans for licensing and launching in additional jurisdictions within the region.
Since the launch of iGaming and sports betting in Ontario nearly two years ago, the province has emerged as a significant jurisdiction in North America's gambling landscape. With new regulations implemented in April 2022, Ontario's online gambling market has experienced substantial growth. In the fourth quarter of 2023, operators reported a notable increase in wagers and gross gaming revenues, underscoring the province's growing prominence in the industry.
LauraTheMysterious Alright, I’m going to start saving for a ticket to Portugal!
JosephTheBrave Usually, streamers are watched by those who already play at casinos. I don't think they lure many people. It's just not interesting to them.
Smithsusan This "Big Bam-Book" is like a joke repeated: funny the first time, but then... well, you get the idea.
RichardTheEnergetic Pff , these streamers again!
paulgreen2v Relax Gaming lowering RTP rates and then hyping up their jackpots is pretty shady. Sure, someone wins big once in a while, but how many players lose because they don’t realize their chances are much lower?
karentaylor7j It’s shocking that Twitch hasn’t banned gambling streams yet, especially when they know how easy it is for minors to access this content. Protecting young viewers should be their top priority!
SusanTheAmbitious It's concerning to see Betway continuing to land big sponsorship deals while they’re lowering RTP rates. Players deserve better, and this just feels like another way to take advantage of them.
MargaretTheJovial I completely agree with CasinosinCanada’s stance on banning gambling ads. It’s about time someone took a stand to protect vulnerable individuals from these constant and harmful messages.
EdwardTheJovial Oh, my daughter once took me to that WinStar in Oklahoma... Honestly, I thought I would go crazy from the noise of the slot machines. But it’s still cool that such places exist — it felt like being in a movie. I didn’t play, of course, but I sat in a café, watched those people — it was like stepping into another world!
paulperez8n Better stay at home and play online slots with decent RTPs.
WilliamsMary3 Where do such lucky people live? I've been spinning the reels for 5 years, and the most I've won is a pitiful €3100. These streamers must live in some other reality.
NancyTheTenacious Evil Devil? Seriously, who in their right mind would play this hellish trash? Sama-Satan would run away from this slot. What nonsense? More devils and demons. Zero creativity, unbelievable!
MargaretTheXtraordinary Wow, AUD318,000 from a single spin sounds incredible, but how can we be sure the RTP is fair? Online casinos often hide the true odds behind flashy wins.
LisaTheResilient It’s great to see Americans embracing regulated gambling more openly. The comparison with Ontario’s market is spot on—licensed operators really do offer a better experience and more transparency. It's high time we move away from shady unregulated sites!
Congratulations to Soft2Bet on their Ontario certification! With the AGCO's approval, they're well-positioned to make a splash in one of Canada's key gambling markets. Can't wait to see their iGaming offerings thrive in Ontario and beyond.
It's impressive to see Soft2Bet's strategic approach to expansion. Partnering with Hacksaw Gaming in Romania and now obtaining certification in Ontario showcases their dedication to growth and innovation. Exciting times ahead for the company!
This is a smart move by Soft2Bet. Ontario's online gambling market has been growing rapidly, and securing certification here opens up a wealth of opportunities for the company. Looking forward to seeing Tooniebet.com make its mark!
Exciting news! Soft2Bet's expansion into Ontario demonstrates their commitment to tapping into new markets and delivering innovative gaming experiences. Can't wait to see what they have in store for Canadian players!
