In its ongoing expansion across North America, Soft2Bet has announced its successful certification in Ontario, Canada's most populous province and a significant online gambling market. The company confirmed the certification earlier this week, revealing that it has obtained a Certificate of Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the province's gambling regulator. This achievement enables Soft2Bet to extend its presence in the region.

The Ontario certification is a strategic move for Soft2Bet, aligning with its broader expansion efforts throughout North America. It marks a crucial milestone as the company progresses towards the launch of its iGaming brand, Tooniebet.com. Given the substantial potential of Ontario's betting and iGaming market, this development underscores Soft2Bet's commitment to strategic growth initiatives in key regions.

Earlier in January, Soft2Bet solidified its presence in the gambling sector by partnering with Hacksaw Gaming in Romania. This collaboration saw Hacksaw Gaming supplying games to power the gaming portfolio of Don.ro, Soft2Bet's brand in Romania. The partnership granted new customers access to a selection of Hacksaw Gaming's popular titles, including Wanted Dead or a Wild, Le Bandit, and RIP City.

Martin Collins, Soft2Bet's Chief Business Development Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the Ontario certification, emphasizing its significance in the company's expansion plans. He stated, "This Ontario certification is another significant and important step in our corporate expansion plans," highlighting the alignment with Soft2Bet's objective of expanding its regulatory footprint.

Isaksson also expressed excitement about Soft2Bet's entry into North America and its plans for licensing and launching in additional jurisdictions within the region.

Since the launch of iGaming and sports betting in Ontario nearly two years ago, the province has emerged as a significant jurisdiction in North America's gambling landscape. With new regulations implemented in April 2022, Ontario's online gambling market has experienced substantial growth. In the fourth quarter of 2023, operators reported a notable increase in wagers and gross gaming revenues, underscoring the province's growing prominence in the industry.
