Stake Brazil is included among the approved sportsbooks
Stake Brazil Ltda has been officially included in the Ministry of Finance’s list of authorized betting operators, allowing the casino to operate legally in the country. However, despite this approval, Stake Casino remains on our blacklist due to unethical practices, such as distributing "candy wrappers" (worthless incentives) via popular streamers to mislead and entice players.
As part of its expansion plan in Brazil, Stake will open an office in São Paulo, hiring a country manager to oversee operations. The company already has partnerships with local organizations, such as the Série A football team Juventude and the UFC in Brazil, which features prominent fighters like Alex Pereira and Alexandre Pantoja.
Internationally, Stake has developed numerous partnerships, including agreements with the UFC in Asia and responsible gambling organizations like BetBlocker. It has also secured exclusive access to Hub88’s game portfolio, which includes titles from over 120 game studios.
However, players should be cautious
Despite its growth and partnerships, Stake has come under fire for unethical promotional practices. Specifically, streamers have been distributing what amounts to "candy wrappers"—promotions that look enticing but offer little to no real value for players. Stake Casino is in our blacklist.

While Brazil’s regulated online gaming market is set to officially launch on January 1, 2025, Stake’s questionable practices overshadow its legal status in the country. We continue to advise against using this platform due to its misleading promotions.
For land-based gambling enthusiasts, Stake’s approval comes as Brazil prepares for a new era of online betting. But remember, Stake’s tactics have already raised red flags in several regions, and players should proceed with caution.
Additionally, Stake has been involved in partnerships outside of Brazil, including as a title sponsor of the Sauber racing team. However, this sponsorship has faced hurdles in regions where Stake is not licensed, such as the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, where authorities requested that the team refrain from promoting Stake during the race.
With more than 90 operators already authorized to operate during Brazil's betting transition period, Stake may be a big player, but its shady practices should make players think twice before joining.

SoTerrible Michigan regulators should focus on fixing their casinos instead of forcing people to play with garbage RTPs. Give us fair odds, and maybe we’ll stay!

kikkersoep Damn, I've been spinning this Animal Magic 1000 all week too, but I haven't caught more than x200! How did Squad get x12000 at all?? There's a dead slot!

BuisnessPig This is an interesting case, but it feels like a loophole is being exploited. Players lost money, and now it looks like the operators don’t have to give it back. It’s frustrating when legal decisions seem to favor the businesses instead of protecting consumers.

PolishPigwin Sad to see this happening. It’s one thing to follow in your father’s footsteps, but another to sell out for an easy paycheck. There’s no honor in gambling sponsorships, especially in a sport where dedication and hard work should be the focus.
How can big names like UFC and Sauber continue to partner with Stake after these scams? It’s really disappointing to see reputable brands aligning with such practices.
It’s good Brazil is regulating online casinos, but Stake’s involvement with candy wrapper promotions should be a red flag for everyone. Players need to be cautious.
They may be legal now in Brazil, but the fact that they're on the blacklist speaks volumes. Just because they're licensed doesn't mean they’re trustworthy.
I've seen those streamers push Stake hard, but most of the bonuses are worthless. Glad to see it's getting called out. Stay away from this one, folks!
I can't believe Stake is still being endorsed by sports teams after all the unethical stuff they've done. Players deserve better transparency from these casinos.
