Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game. Its debut version was released back in 2003 for Windows and macOS. Interestingly, different manufacturers are involved in the development of games in the series. Infinity Ward is responsible for the Warfare line (Modern, Infinity, Ghosts). But the Black Ops sub-series is being developed by Treyarch.

The plots of the series do not intersect. The first games were devoted to the Second World War, Warfare - the present time (2000-2021), as well as the distant future (2181). As for the Black Ops sub-series, the events in it revolve around the conflict between the army of the United States of America and other states.

Since 2013, the biggest shooter competition has been the $1 million CoD Championship. To become a participant in the championship, you must win the regional qualification. Qualifiers are held in 4 regions: Europe, North America, Brazil, and Asia.

Since 2016, the CoD World League has been organized, which is the qualification for the main annual tournament. The league consists of two divisions - amateur and professional. In addition to competitions organized by the developer, sponsored tournaments are also held:

• Vikkstar King of the Hill.

• HusKerrs Howl Warzone.

Features of lines and painting

Shooter championship matches can be played in various formats:

• Bo1 (best of one). The winner of the game is decided on one card.

• Bo5 (best of five). To win a match, a team must win three maps.

• Bo9 (best of nine). This format is used in the grand finals, and the winner is the team that wins five maps.

Depending on the regulations of the matches of the tournament, the bookmaker's signature is also different. For example, in the bo3 and bo5 series, bettors can bet on the exact score and totals, but in bo1 this option is not available. Do not forget about the different game modes.

Competitive CoD events are held in two variations:

Classic. The rules of the classic mode are similar to Counter Strike: Global Offensive, the teams fight for the attack (terrorists) and defense (special forces). The winners are those who first win 16 rounds and achieve an advantage of 2 or more points. In the event of a tie, additional matches are scheduled.

Fight to the death. Teams receive points for each kill they make. The side that scores the most points at the end of the battle is the winner. The duration of the game is 10 minutes. Unlike the classics, gamers instantly respawn and join the battle. There is no financial restriction, it is allowed to choose any weapon.
