Drake Lost $1.5 Million After Spain’s Win in the 2026 World Cup Final

Canadian rapper Drake has once again lost a large sum on a football bet. Before the 2026 World Cup final, he placed $1.5 million at the crypto casino Stake on Argentina beating Spain within the opening 90 minutes. The musician posted a screenshot of the bet slip on his Instagram.

At odds of 3.45, the potential payout was $5.175 million. That amount included the original stake, so Drake’s net profit would have reached $3.675 million if the bet had won. The condition was strict: Argentina had to win specifically in regulation time, while extra time and a penalty shootout did not count.

After 90 minutes, the scoreboard still showed zeros, and the rapper’s bet was already settled as a loss. The breakthrough came in the second period of extra time: substitute Ferran Torres scored the only goal in the 106th minute and gave Spain a 1-0 victory.

Spain became world champion for the second time in its history. The team had previously won the tournament in 2010. Argentina, defending its 2022 title, spent almost the entire match without sharpness up front and did not record a single shot during the opening 90 minutes.
