Kalshi Gave Away the Jersey Messi Wore to Score His 800th Goal
Prediction market platform Kalshi organized a series of giveaways for football fans. Each day, users had the chance to win one autographed jersey from a famous player, whether an active star or a retired footballer.
The main prize was Lionel Messi's jersey from the match in which the Argentine scored the 800th goal of his professional career. He scored against Panama in March 2023, shortly after Argentina's World Cup victory.
Messi was not the only name on the prize list. Kalshi also gave away signed jerseys from Marcelo, Angel Di Maria, Guillermo Ochoa, Clint Dempsey, Radamel Falcao, Luka Modric, David Villa, Raphael Varane, and Rio Ferdinand.
The result was an impressive collection representing several generations of players, from World Cup champions and Champions League winners to some of the biggest football names in North and South America. For Kalshi, the promotion offered another way to attract sports fans not only through prediction markets, but also through rare memorabilia.
