Controversial Culinary Collaboration: Great Canadian Ent. Joins Forces with Gordon Ramsay
Great Canadian Entertainment has made headlines with its groundbreaking partnership with world-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay. Through this collaboration, Chef Ramsay will bring his culinary expertise to the operator's casinos and resorts across Canada, introducing multiple dining experiences to the Canadian market.
As one of Canada's largest operators of casino resorts with 25 locations, Great Canadian Entertainment has been actively supporting charitable and non-profit organizations across the country, benefiting healthcare, education, and social services.
The partnership's official entry into the Canadian market will begin with Gordan Ramsay Burger launching at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver in the fall, followed by Gordon Ramsay Steak at the River Rock Casino Resort next year. These debuts mark significant milestones for both the casino operator and Gordon Ramsay North America.
Matthew Anfinson, Chief Executive Officer of the land-based gaming operator, expressed great excitement about bringing Chef Ramsay's gastronomic vision to their locations. He believes that the burger and steak brands will provide guests with an unparalleled dining experience.
Gordon Ramsay Burger will grace the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver with its unique combination of culinary elegance and comfort food nostalgia. The dining venue will offer gourmet burgers, scratch-made sauces, and handcrafted shakes, ensuring a world-class dining experience for guests.
Meanwhile, Gordon Ramsay Steak at the River Rock Casino Resort is known for its exquisite atmosphere and exceptional service. Guests can look forward to indulging in expertly crafted dishes, showcasing the chef's signature flair and made from the finest ingredients, including the renowned Beef Wellington.
Adding to the excitement, Great Canadian Entertainment recently launched Canada's largest casino resort, the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, on June 20, 2023. This state-of-the-art resort near Woodbine Racetrack features 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms, and sports betting terminals, representing a CA$1 billion investment.
Moreover, the resort's Poker Room is set to open during the summer season, boasting 30 tables on a private floor with electronic table games and slots for waiting players. The room will offer both 'No Limit' and 'Limit' options, promising thrilling playing experiences for poker enthusiasts.
While the culinary partnership with Gordon Ramsay has generated excitement among patrons, some observers have raised concerns about potential risks related to Chef Ramsay's previous involvement in the casino gaming scene. In particular, his association with the Hell's Kitchen slot from Netent raised questions about the possibility of the chef earning a percentage on players who lose while playing the game. These concerns have led some to question the reputation and fairness of future ventures with the renowned chef in the casino gaming industry.
